PITC – Exporters’ Dialogue
November 22, 2022
PITC holds a roundtable discussion with members of the Exports Industry group who uses packaging, sugar, rice, and other raw materials for their production.
PITC President & CEO, Usec. Dr. Emmie Liza Perez Chiong, wanted to hear out from the exporters and manufacturers the actual experiences and challenges they face in manufacturing, promoting, and selling their products locally and abroad. The meeting also served as an avenue for PITC to present its international trading services to help exporters achieve their maximum potential as local manufacturers by capitalizing on PITC’s mandate as the sole state trading arm of the government. PITC is extending its helping hand to collaborate and converge with the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMES) to address their concerns in order to survive their business with the rising costs of production, packaging and raw materials, as well as shipping costs. The discussion was co-organized by Mr. Tomas Medina of the Brandexports Philippines, Inc.
More of these dialogues shall take place as PITC focuses on taking advantage of its imports and exports mandate to help the local industry be as competitive as possible vis-à-vis international brands.
